Being a designer is not as easy as everyone thinks. It is impossible for one person to do all the tasks required to maintain a brand name consistently. He or she must seek the help of various professionals that specialize in a range of tasks so he or she can focus in his or her passion of creating trends for the consumers.

In taking care of the brands image by dealing with the public's opinion about a product, the designer must hire a fashion PR. The public relations representative takes care of how the target market views both existing products and those that are yet to be released in the market. This type of fashion public relations representative are equipped with research and surveying skills to gather data on public perception. If the representative finds negative feedbacks, it is his or her job to organize a plan to respond to that negative feedback. Most of the time, the task of a fashion PR is to prevent these negative feedbacks from happening.

The other type of public relations representative that a designer needs is the lifestyle PR. They are the ones dedicated in controlling the image of the fashion designer in the eye of the public. This is because many people look up to fashion designers and their brand. It is essential that a designer must protect his or her image by making sure that none of his or her actions are frowned upon by his or her supporters.

It can be very difficult for a designer to track every one of his or her public moves. This is where the lifestyle public relations representative comes in. It is their task to make sure that the lifestyle aspect of a designer's image will not taint the brand that he or she is representing.

Among the tasks of these representatives, the most important is arranging and editing press releases when problems concerning the image arise. In these times, they facilitate the processes of keeping the brand name and image favorable foe the target market. They also do proactive promotions such as sponsored articles while being aware of the budget.
